Bronze is bright, solar and reflective when it is mirror-polished; it has a lively shade of colour when treated with acids. When it is mirror-finished, it enhances at its most the potential of the metal, when distressed, the patina reveals the metal’s infinite colour shades. Many mediocre sculptures were ransomed by an outstanding patina.
