Wax

Special glands located on the abdomens of worker bees produce beeswax in its typical golden shade.

Synthetic wax is extracted from petrol; other kinds of wax are extracted from tropical rainforest plants. Wax can be coloured or whitened. Wax can be soft, hard or dry to the touch, depending on- the treatment applied, and it is pleasant to model; it is a material that easily lets light through, attaining at some kind of dematerialization of the shape. It resists time but suffers high temperatures.
