Pino Di Gennaro

A polyhedric sculptor who reaches – manipulating materials – levels of extreme and cultivated refinement. His sculptures enhance the brightness of bronze, the colours of papier-mâché, the transparency of wax and the tenebrous opacity of lead. His works deal with light issues of the mind, and link to ethical issues of great commitment, communicating through an intense physicality, with a fantastic imagery of utter seduction and involvement, typical of visionary artists.
His works can be seen in public and private collections; he had many exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Having graduated at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera (Fine Arts Academy of Brera), where he currently lectures, he is considered an established master, he authors academic texts and a manual on sculptural theories and practices : I modi della scultura (Types of Sculpture) and Manuale di scultura (Manual of sculpture), published by Hoepli Editore.
